Jim Beam hires new marketing leader from and tweaks title. Beam Suntory’s new leader is Jessica Spence, who spent the last seven years in ascending roles at Carlsberg.
Apple’s Beats by Dre has new CMO. From Adweek, “He [Chris Thorne] was most recently chief growth officer at healthcare startup Forward, but has also served as CMO of actress Jessica Alba’s natural baby and beauty brand The Honest Company and global vice president of marketing, media and mobile at video game company Electronic Arts.”
Reebok promotes digital leader from within to be CMO. The previous CMO is going to Coke to head up an emerging brands unit. Expect a shift in marcom spending as Reebok as the brand beefs up its digital presence.
Principal Financial gets new CMO from within the financial services industry. Beth Wood will head up what seems to be a large in-house group and will be headquartered in Des Moines, IA. Before landing this new job, Ms. Wood worked her way up in marketing at Guardian Life Insurance.
Brinks Home Security adds new Chief Marketing Officer. Chris Moloney joins this established brand. Chris has a strong digital background, having been recognized by the CMO Club and Adobe. His last job was CMO at TaxSlayer.
